UA&P students participate in AYLTLC

Three students from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program represented UA&P at the Asian Youth Leaders Travel and Learning Camp (AYLTLC) held in Singapore last February 15 to 19, 2024.

Katreena Adrienne Cuaresma and Angeli Domini Lim, both BSBA freshmen, and Naomi Klaire Listana, a BSBA-Business Analytics junior, joined the annual gathering of students from all over the world. The AYLTLC provides participants an exceptional opportunity to network with student leaders from top universities and learn about the key success that shaped one of Asia’s most progressive nations, Singapore, from various perspectives and develop themselves to be effective leaders in the future.

Reflecting on her experience, Katreena Adrienne Cuaresma said:

“From the carefully curated itinerary to the profound connections forged, every moment left an imprint on my heart. It's incredible how a blank notepad transforms into a repository of memories and insights I'll carry forever. This experience taught me the value of stepping out of my comfort zone, embracing diversity, and fostering genuine connections. I encourage my peers to seize similar opportunities for growth and understanding, for it's through these shared experiences that we can truly make a difference in our communities and the world… for our future.”

Another student leadership program will take place from August 11 to 17, 2024, in Thailand. The 9th Global Leadership Program, organized by the Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) in collaboration with the Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), aims to explore how student leadership can effectively tackle global challenges and drive transformative change. The deadline for registration is June 30. For inquiries, email the Public and International Affairs Office at [email protected]

Economics seminars & case competition for SHS students

The Business Economics Association (BEA) of the UA&P School of Economics invites senior high school students to the Economic Visionaries Seminars & Case Competition with the theme “Understanding the World Through an Economic Lens.”

The event is a series of seminars on the basics of economics that will take place on April 27 and May 4 (Saturdays) via Zoom. As a culminating activity for the invited students, a modified case competition that will be centered on the industry analysis of popular culture will be held on May 11 (Saturday) at the Telengtan Hall, University of Asia and the Pacific.

The seminars will revolve around the basics of the 10 principles of economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and industry analysis. This will help the students appreciate news about business and the economy, equipping them with the 'economic lens' with which to view various social issues. The students would need to attend the seminars for both days, wherein the mechanics of the case competition will be revealed on the second day.

Registration for the event is now open, and we encourage you to secure your place by following this link.

Panitikan x Kalikasan
