Kasalin Network: Layag Forum sa Pagsasalin

Inaanyayahan ng UA&P Kagawaran ng Filipino ang lahat na lumahok at dumalo sa "Layag: Forum sa Pagsasalin" na magaganap sa Mayo 18 (Sabado) mula 8:00 n.u. hanggang 5:00 n.h. sa paraang hyflex: onsite sa PLDT Hall at online naman gamit ang Zoom.
 
Layunin ng forum na talakayin ang (a) mga hakbang sa pagsusulong ng batas para propesyonalisasyon ng mga tagasaling Filipino at (b) pagbuo ng consortium ng mga tagasalin.

Inorganisa ito ng Kasálin Network na binubuo ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan, institusyon, organisasyon, at indibidwal na layong itaguyod ang propesyonalisasyon ng gawaing pampagsasalin sa buong bansa.

2024 Agribusiness Executives' Program

The Center for Food and Agri Business (CFA) is now accepting applications for the 2024 Agribusiness Executives' Program (AEP). 

The AEP is a six-month certificate program designed to develop the managerial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills of executives and managers. Its design was based on a comprehensive needs analysis of key agribusiness companies and developed in collaboration with agribusiness practitioners and experts.

The deadline for applications is August 1, 2024. Classes start on September 12.

BIGGKAS+ renews partnership with adopted barangay 

BIGGKAS+, the institutional outreach and extension arm of the University of Asia and the Pacific, renewed its partnership with Barangay Pineda, Pasig, the adopted barangay of UA&P. A memorandum of understanding was signed on January 31, 2024, by UA&P President Dr. Winston Conrad Padojinog and Brgy. Pineda Chairman Francisco De Leon.

BIGGKAS+ stands on the same underpinnings and basic design of the original BIGGKAS initiated by the Civics Desk of the Center for Student Affairs. The program has seven basic initiative extension clusters, namely: Basa, Isip, Gawa, Galing, Katesismo, Arte, and Sports. The plus (+) sign is a provision made to cater to a wider range of projects that may not be covered by the existing extension clusters.

Moreover, the plus sign connotes that the program has evolved into the larger UA&P community, allowing faculty and staff to now share their time, talent, and expertise with the various extension programs or projects that adheres to sustainable, relevant and needs-based approaches. The schools-based Operations Committees are expected to encourage their faculty and staff to participate in extension services.

Scholarship applications and appeals for SY 2024-2025 

The Admissions Office is now accepting scholarship applications and appeals for current students for SY 2024-2025. To submit your application, kindly accomplish this form on or before May 31, 2024.

Please be advised that applications are open for current students only. Scholarship applications for incoming students for SY 2024-2025 are already closed.

Dragon Race Awarding Ceremony

All UA&P faculty and staff are invited to attend the Dragon Race Awarding Ceremony this May 6 (Monday) at the Li Seng Giap Auditorium. Registration starts at 4:45 pm.

The Dragon Race is an online fundraising initiative for the benefit of the Phoenix Scholarship Endowment. The awarding ceremony aims to recognize all the efforts made by the teams that participated in  this initiative.
