2nd Fireside Chat highlights core of family business successions
In the recently concluded 2nd Fireside Chat on "Family Values and Successful Succession Planning," speakers Honorable Consul Eudaldo "Benjie" Atilano and Aristides "Jong" Merida emphasized that at the core of all properly executed succession plans is love and mutual respect among family members.
In the get-together held on September 16, the speakers pointed out that many strategies can be adopted to ensure a seamless transition in family-run businesses, but they are only as effective as the amount of care that one invests in open, nurturing, and respectful communication among family members and other stakeholders.
The Fireside Chat series is a project of UA&P BIGGKAS+, the Office of Alumni Affairs, and the School of Management.
