SSE 14th Foundation Anniversary

The School of Sciences and Engineering (SSE) will celebrate its 14th Founding Anniversary on November 15 (Wednesday). A Eucharistic celebration will be held at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory on Wednesday at 12:05 pm.

It is also the feast day of St. Albert the Great, Patron Saint of the Natural Sciences.

SSE would like to thank everyone in the UA&P community for their support and cooperation through the years.

Dalawang Guro ng Departamento ng Filipino, Delegado sa Kumperensiya sa Pagsasalin ng KWF at UST-SSAS

Naging delegado ang dalawang guro ng Departamento ng Filipino sa kumperensiya sa pagsasalin na binuo ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) sa pakikipagtulungan ng Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas - Sentro sa Salin at Araling Salin (UST-SSAS).

Sina Dr. Moreal N. Camba at G. Louise Vincent B. Amante ng Departamento ng Filipino ang naging delegado mula sa Unibersidad ng Asya at ng Pasipiko (UA&P) para sa naturang kumperensiya. Tema ng nasabing gawain ang “Mga Dalumat at Realidad ng Pagsasalin: Pambansang Kumperensiya ng mga Tagasalin sa Pilipinas”. 

Tinalakay sa loob ng tatlong araw ang tungkol sa halaga ng propesyonalisasyon ng pagsasalin sa Pilipinas, ang ambag ng pagsasalin sa intelektuwalisasyon ng mga wika ng Pilipinas, at karapatan at kapakanan ng mga tagasalin. Binuod ni Dr. Camba ang mga tinalakay sa unang araw ng kumperensiya. Si G. Amante naman ang nagbuod sa ikatlong araw.

Ginanap ang naturang seminar mula 27 hanggang 29 Setyembre 2023 sa UST Hospital-St. John Paul II Building Audio Visual Rooms.

CHP Advisory: Eucharistic adoration on November 3 canceled

The Eucharistic adoration scheduled on November 3 will not push through. This weekly activity will resume on November 10.

Dragon Race Online Fund Raising Activity

The Fund Development Office (FDO) invites all UA&P faculty members, students, staff, alumni, and parents to join the UA&P Dragon Race, the first-ever university-wide online fundraising activity for the benefit of the Phoenix Endowment Program, an institutional scholarship fund for financial assistance scholars and merit scholars with financial needs.

Registration is from November 15 to December 15, 2023, while the activity proper is from January 15 to April 15, 2024.

Participating teams have the chance to win the following prizes and awards:

• Overall Winners. Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will be given to the teams that raised the most funds at the end of the race. Prize: Trophy with cash prize

Gold: P15,000.00
Silver: P10,000.00
Bronze: P7,000.00

• Top Fundraiser for the Month Awards. First, Second, and Third place awards will be given to the teams that raised the most funds for each month (Month 1: Jan 15 - Feb 14; Month 2: Feb 15 - March 14; Month 3: March 15 - April 15.
  Prize: Virtual Badge
• Most Creative Fundraising Idea Award. Given to the group with the most original and creative fundraising approach.
  Prize: Medals
• Best Team Spirit Award. Given to the group that gathered the most number of participants.
  Prize: Medals
• Fundraiser Award. Given to the group that organized activities with high social impact.
  Prize: Medals
• Most Sustainable Fundraiser Award. Given to the group that organized activities with the greatest environmental impact.

• Young Fundraisers of the Year Award. Given to a group with the youngest average age of members.
