2024 Urban Humanities Summer School

 

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) invites interested individuals to the 2024 Urban Humanities Summer School at the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio City, from May 20 to June 7, 2024.

The Urban Humanities Summer School program will immerse students in the settings, material culture, and living heritage that lend character to and enliven the city of Baguio. The student’s investigation of the significance of these to the citizens will include a historical understanding of the city through place-based memory archiving and sensory ethnography.

National Family Workshop Forum

 

Everyone is invited to a forum entitled “Enhancing the Filipino Family: A Gift to the Nation” on January 25 (Thursday), 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, at the Celestino Dizon Auditorium of UA&P.

Organized by UA&P in partnership with Alalay sa Pamilya at Bayan Foundation, Inc., Defending Family Values Foundation, Inc., and the Center for Excellence in Governance, this informative and interactive forum on the Filipino family will involve its attendees in formulating action plans to respond to challenges confronting the family.

Those who wish to attend may register here. The registration fee is Php1,200 (Php1,000 for students) inclusive of meals and handouts. Paying participants will be given meal tickets. UA&P faculty, students, staff, and mentors may attend for free (meals excluded).

Appointment of Fr. Carlos V.G. Estrada as University Chaplain

Lecture on Reconfiguring School Leadership in a Post-pandemic Learning Environment

 

The School of Education and Human Development invites everyone to its Quarterly Faculty Lecture Series on January 24 (Wednesday) from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm via Zoom.
 
Mr. Paul Cheng, Associate Director for Academic Standards of PAREF Southridge School, will talk about the pandemic experience of a Basic Education school’s senior and middle management, and how that has shaped their leadership mindset and competencies post-pandemic.
