Department of Information Science and Technology (IST) Chair Mr. Cyrus Paolo Buenafe spoke to the new teachers of the Schools Division of Bulacan on September 13 about the imperative use of technology in education.
In his lecture on "Integrating Technology for Effective Teaching and Robust Data Management," Buenafe emphasized that technology had the potential to enrich teaching, making it not only more efficient but also more enjoyable. He explained how data management systems could make everyday tasks easier for teachers, affording them more time to devote to what is important: learning connections with students.
The IST Chair ended his presentation with a firm call to action: start with small steps, embrace change, and fully use whatever potential technology has to offer in education.
The hybrid conference, which was held in Bulacan and had the theme "Fostering a Supportive Learning Environment," was part of SDO Bulacan's induction program for beginning teachers.
