The Operations Committee of the School of Sciences and Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Eva Rodriguez as officer-in-charge of the Math Department and the BS Data Science Program. She will take over the duties and responsibilities of Mrs. Kim Vallesteros as she takes on a sabbatical leave.
We enjoin everyone to support Dr. Rodriguez in the fulfillment of her role. Kindly direct all queries and concerns related to the Math Department and the BSDS Program to Dr. Rodriguez during this academic year.

Benchmarking activity ng UA&P Kagawaran ng Filipino at UP Baguio DLLA, tagumpay
Tagumpay ang naging benchmarking activity ng UA&P Kagawaran ng Filipino at Unibersidad ng Pilipinas-Baguio (UP Baguio) Department of Language, Literature, and the Arts (DLLA) sa UP Baguio noong Hulyo 23, 2024.
Tinanggap nina Prop. Junley Lazaga at Prop. Joseph Andrew Carvajal ng UP Baguio DLLA at G. John Rey Aquino ng Sentro ng Wikang Filipino-UP Baguio (SWF-UP Baguio) ang UA&P Kagawaran ng Filipino sa pangunguna ni Dr. Moreal N. Camba, tagapangulo ng Kagawaran.
Unang nagbahagi si Prop. Camba tungkol sa estado ng kursong Filipino sa antas kolehiyo ng UA&P at ang proyektong pagsasalin ng mga tekstong Griyego nina Horace, Longinus, at Plotinus na pinondohan ng Center for Research and Communication. Binanggit din niya ang intensyon na makabuo ng silabus para sa asignaturang pagsasalin.
Sumunod na nagbahagi sina Prop. Carvajal at Prop. Lazaga tungkol sa estado ng kursong Filipino sa UP Baguio. Ibinalita naman ni G. Aquino ng Sentro ng Wikang Filipino-UP Baguio ang mga nakalinya nitong proyekto at aktibidad sa papasok na akademikong taon 2024-2025.
Nagkaroon ng malayang talakayan matapos ang bahaginan at napagpasyahang magkaroon ng mga kolaboratibong proyekto sa hinaharap.
Dumalaw din ang Kagawaran sa mga eksibit ng Darnay Demetillo Artist Award na nagtatampok sa mga likhang-sining ng mga mag-aaral ng UP Baguio at sa Museo Kordilyera.
Nagpapasalamat ang buong Kagawaran ng Filipino sa malugod at mainit na pagtanggap ng UPB-DLLA.#

CTL Research Colloquium 2024
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), in collaboration with the University Research Office (URO) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), invites you to attend the Research Colloquium 2024 on August 14 (Wednesday) from 10:00 am to 12 noon at the ALB Living Room.
Last year, CTL and its selection committee chose three Action Research Project Proposals to support for the academic year 2023-2024. The research projects aim to address issues in the blended learning setting to enhance the teaching and learning experience. The selected researchers will be presenting their projects.

UA&P students join Oxford Certificate Programme
Ten students from the University of Asia and the Pacific are now participating in the Oxford Certificate Programme, which started on July 28 and will end on August 9 at Worcester College, University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
The Oxford Certificate Programme is a world-class study-abroad opportunity. It offers advanced courses that build upon students' existing knowledge, equipping them with the skills and insights needed to stand out from their peers.
