UA&P-IST presents paper on service learning in IT at 5th CUPSCon
The UA&P Department of Information Science and Technology (IST) presented its paper on service learning in information technology at the 5th Colleges and Universities Public Service Conference (CUPSCon5) hosted by the UP Padayon Public Service Office from August 28 to 30, 2024, at Palawan State University in Puerto Princesa.
The conference carried the theme “Future of Public Service in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Trends, Challenges, and Prospects" and drew 200 participants from higher education institutions, national government agencies, and local government units.
In their paper on “Service-Learning in Information Technology as an Instrument for Effective Community Engagement,” IST showed the importance of blending hands-on learning with community impact and highlighted how technology can drive positive change.
