The Land Transportation Office - National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) will have their off-site vehicle registration at the Ortigas Center Association Inc. (OCAI) Building Grounds located at Garnet Road, Ortigas Center on October 29 (Tuesday) at 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.

2024 Year-End Business Economic Briefing on AI

 

The Business Economics Club invites you to the 2024 Year-End Business Economic Briefing entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Disruptor or Catalyst for Economic Growth?" on November 27 (Wednesday) at 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the PLDT Hall, UA&P. 

The briefing will explore the following topics:

Current state of AI adoption in industries. We will delve into the specific use cases in sectors such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, etc.

Economic implications of AI implementation. We will explore the potential economic impacts of AI on job creation, displacement, productivity gains, economic growth, and income inequality.

Potential challenges and strategies for overcoming them. We will address the common hurdles businesses face in adopting AI like data quality and availability, talent shortage, ethical considerations, cost, change management, etc.

Call for participants: The PEJ Search 

 

The Philippine E-Journals (PEJ) invites students from all disciplines to participate in the PEJ Search, a fun and engaging competition designed to test students' knowledge and encourage exploration of academic journals across various fields.

Participants will dive into the world of research as they answer 15 challenging questions using Philippine e-journals. Access this link on October 15: https://bit.ly/CELogicPEJSearch and submit your entries until November 15. 

The winners will be announced in a raffle draw on November 25, 2024.

The PEJ is an online collection of academic publications of different higher education institutions and professional organizations.

West Philippine Sea photo exhibit

 

In line with the celebration of Museum and Galleries Month, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines' Museo El Deposito, in partnership with the UA&P College of Arts and Sciences (History and Asia Pacific Studies Departments), will open its special exhibition entitled Pag-asa sa Gitna ng Kalayaan on October 9 at the Hanns Seidel Hall of UA&P.

The event will bring closer to the youth the photo exhibit of Mr. Paul Quiambao, featuring his travel to the Kalayaan Islands in the West Philippine Sea, along with some of the cartographic collection of the National Library of the Philippines, the miniature of the BRP Sierra Madre, and the original flag of the Freedom Lands from Admiral Tomas Cloma.

The exhibition, which may be viewed until November 14 in UA&P, was first displayed at the National Library of the Philippines last July 5 during the lecture "Kwentubigan 2024 - Story of Our Seas: The West Philippine Sea in a Historical and Political Perspective."
