The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) will mark its 36th Foundation Anniversary on March 19 (Wednesday) with a Holy Mass at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis (SMSO) Oratory at 12:05 pm.
CAS’ patron saint is Saint Joseph, the spouse of the Virgin Mary and foster father of Jesus.
St. Joseph's role in the Holy Family—supporting Mary and raising Jesus with love and wisdom—reminds us of the importance of family bonds and the significance of being a protector and guide to the next generation. His silent strength calls believers to recognize the sacred in the ordinary, embracing their roles with grace and faith, just as Joseph did in his everyday life.
As the Church prepares for the Jubilee Year 2025, the faithful is invited to reflect on the virtues that St. Joseph embodied: faithfulness, humility, and courage in the face of uncertainty. As the patron saint of workers, fathers, and the universal Church, St. Joseph’s life is a model for all Christians seeking to balance duty and devotion to God.
CAS would like to thank everyone in the UA&P community for their support and cooperation through the years.
