Ecovision 2025 concludes, declares The Josephites grand champions
The Business Economics Association (BEA) of the UA&P School of Economics recently held Ecovision 2025, declaring St. Joseph College of Novaliches, Inc. as grand champions in an intense three-day economics event that concluded on May 3, 2025, at the PLDT Hall of UA&P.
Ecovision is the flagship competition of BEA, designed to inspire and challenge the next generation of aspiring economists. Open to all Grade 9 to 12 students nationwide from all senior high school strands, the event features a series of seminars led by UA&P's distinguished professors, followed by three intellectually engaging challenges that put economic knowledge to the test.
This year, the competition tackled one of the Philippines' most pressing economic issues—national development—by encouraging students to explore policies, strategies, and solutions that drive sustainable growth. Among the speakers that led the seminars were Dr. George Manzano, former dean of the School of Economics; Dr. John Paolo Rivera, Senior Research Fellow of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies; Dr. Cid Terosa, former dean of the School of Economics; and Mr. Emilio Neri, Jr., lead economist of BPI.
