The School of Management (SMN) cordially invites the UA&P faculty, managers, supervisors, and administrative staff to its third session of workshop entitled “A Workshop on Advanced Empirical Methods for Research” on February 22 (Wednesday).
This workshop will provide a conceptual understanding of the application of two widely used Structural Equation Model (SEM) approaches prevalent in the academic literature and businesses doing research. The workshop will focus on the understanding, interpretation, and analysis of the theoretical output and shall rely on the R software to do the heavy lifting on the statistical and computational part of the methodology.
The lecturer is Dr. Robert Roque, Assistant Professor and the Executive Director of the Center for Family Business Excellence of SMN.

The Operations Committee of the School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Natividad Cristina Gruet as the Program Director (PD) of the Political Economy Program of SLG effective 16 February 2023.
After finishing her Master of Arts in Political Economy with specialization in International Relations and Development (MAPE-IRD) in 2004, Ms Gruet has been teaching full-time in our University since 2008, and has dedicated herself to enriching the Political Economy Program in different ways, such as organizing co-curricular activities for students; introducing innovations in teaching, research, and curriculum development; instituting policies and standards; and arranging collaborations with various government and private institutions.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Gruet served as the Assistant Program Director of the Political Economy Program from 1 August 2022.
We enjoin everyone to lend their support to Ms. Gruet as she takes charge of this new assignment.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. May Zuleika Salao for her selfless service and dedication as the previous Program Director. Her scholarship and passion for excellence contributed substantially in raising the prestige of our Political Economy Program over the years in the country and beyond.
