The Operations Committee of the School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Natividad Cristina Gruet as the Program Director (PD) of the Political Economy Program of SLG effective 16 February 2023.
After finishing her Master of Arts in Political Economy with specialization in International Relations and Development (MAPE-IRD) in 2004, Ms Gruet has been teaching full-time in our University since 2008, and has dedicated herself to enriching the Political Economy Program in different ways, such as organizing co-curricular activities for students; introducing innovations in teaching, research, and curriculum development; instituting policies and standards; and arranging collaborations with various government and private institutions.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Gruet served as the Assistant Program Director of the Political Economy Program from 1 August 2022.
We enjoin everyone to lend their support to Ms. Gruet as she takes charge of this new assignment.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. May Zuleika Salao for her selfless service and dedication as the previous Program Director. Her scholarship and passion for excellence contributed substantially in raising the prestige of our Political Economy Program over the years in the country and beyond.
