Students from 11 nations unite at UA&P for IMUN Philippines
UA&P proudly hosted the International Model United Nations (IMUN) Philippines from November 12 to 14, featuring 250 student participants from India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Pakistan, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Guam, and Canada.
International Model United Nations (IMUN) brings youth together from around the world to learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations.
The opening ceremony featured a warm welcome from Dr. Gladys Golo, Vice President for Faculty and Academic Affairs, followed by inspiring insights on international relations and diplomacy from the Ambassadors of Vietnam and Bangladesh, H.E. Lai Thai Binh and H.E. Mohammad Sarwar Mahmood, who also answered questions from the students.
Ms. Erica Duffy, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ireland, shared her experiences as a former IMUN participant, inspiring the next generation of global leaders.
