Accounting 101 for Non-accountants set for November 17–18
The Southeast Asia Business Studies (SEABS) Unit will be holding a two-day seminar-workshop titled “Accounting 101: Accounting for Non-Accountants” on November 17–18, 2025, at Dining Halls 1 & 2, University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P).
Designed for professionals and decision-makers with little to no formal accounting background, the workshop offers a practical and accessible introduction to essential accounting concepts, financial reports, and business transactions. Through a combination of lectures, real-world case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain the tools and confidence to interpret financial data, manage budgets, and make smarter business decisions.
Key topics to be covered include:
- Accounting concepts and principles
- Cash vs. accrual basis of accounting
- The accounting equation and process
- Financial statements and analysis
- Budget planning and cost management
- Internal controls and fraud prevention
The training investment is ₱15,000, with an early bird rate of ₱14,000 available until October 16, 2025. Additional discounts include 10% off for group enrollments (three or more) and 15% off for UA&P alumni. Special rates are also offered to UA&P faculty, staff, and students.
