UA&P launches review of the University Research Agenda
On July 30, UA&P, through the Office of the Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Research (OVPFAR) and the University Research Office (URO), launched the review of the University Research Agenda (URA), which directs the research activities across the University's Schools, Centers, and Units.
URO Executive Director Dr. Veronica Ramirez provided an overview of the research achievements of UA&P through the years. Among the speakers on the different fields of research were UA&P co-founder Dr. Bernardo Villegas, UA&P President Dr. Winston Conrad Padojinog, Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Research Dr. Svetlana Camacho, and selected professors from different Schools: Dr. Paul Dumol, Dr. Varsolo Sunio, Dr. Ruel Maningas, Dr. Laya Boquiren-Gonzales, and Dr. Josefti Nito.
The OVPFAR and the URO aim to develop a revised URA that will guide the University’s research priorities for the next 8-10 years. The review process will take place during the first semester, with results expected to be shared in the second semester of this academic year. Faculty members from various Schools will contribute to this process.
