Access point upgrade at ACB

 

The ICT Office will be conducting an access point (AP) upgrade at the APEC Communications Building (ACB) today and tomorrow (March 8-9) between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. During this upgrade, intermittent connection issues to the network may be experienced.

To minimize any potential disruption, the upgrade will prioritize classrooms and office areas one at a time. This means that there may be brief periods of downtime in these areas while the upgrade is being implemented.

LIB Advisory: LIB schedule on March 6 to 11

 

The University Library will be operating on a skeletal workforce for its onsite operations from March 06 to 11 (Monday to Saturday) in view of the impending jeepney strike.

The onsite LIB business schedule is as follows:

Monday to Friday
7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Saturday
8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Hybrid services (onsite and digital services) will remain available on these days. Remote reference assistance will be accessible from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on March 6-10, and from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on March 11.

Ask ViRA for real-time virtual reference assistance. All offline messages will be answered the following workday. Inquiries may also be forwarded to the Library at [email protected] or [email protected].

ICT Advisory: Server maintenance on January 28

 

Please be informed that there will be a scheduled downtime on one of our servers tomorrow (January 28) at 10:00 pm. The EmpowerEd production core server and database will undergo a scale-down considering the load in the system has gone down with the completion of the undergraduate and graduate program enrollment. The downtime will last up to two hours.

During the interruption, the EmpowerEd system will be inaccessible.

Construction of the CTL Office

 

The CTL Office will be opening its doors this 2023 to assist students and teachers with their learning experience concerns (including Canvas concerns). Construction is ongoing at Study Hall B for the new office and a production studio. The studio will be used to produce instructional videos and will also be open for use by students and staff who will need facilities for recording podcasts, video shoots, etc.

A new study and events space at Study Hall B is also under construction, which we hope can enrich students’ academic and org life here at UA&P.

The expected completion of this new venue would be mid-year.

LIB Advisory: LIB schedule for 2nd semester

 

The University Library’s new business schedule effective January 12 (today) is as follows:

Monday to Friday
7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday
8:30 am to 4:00 pm

The University Library Café by Corbeau Coffee Co. will observe the following schedule starting today:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Wednesday
8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday
8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Please use the ALB elevator when going to the University Library Café at the 4th level beyond 5:00 pm.
