The UA&P Institute of Law will be holding the AD ASTRA Freshman Orientation on August 4 (online) and August 5 (on campus) to welcome the new batch of aspiring Dragon lawyers.

UA&P & PFBC Establish Center for Family Business Excellence

The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), through its Entrepreneurial Management (EM) Program, signed a memorandum of agreement with Premier Family Business Consulting (PFBC) on July 28 to establish the Center for Family Business Excellence. The center shall conduct research and share knowledge on the uniqueness of Filipino and Asian family firms, their impact on the economy, and issues on the challenges of generational transition, legacy perpetuation, as well as sustainable stewardship towards social impact.

Through educational programs and events, the center shall develop the skills and knowledge for highly effective family business leaders and professionals to become the catalyst of values-driven transformation in their family businesses. The center shall promote and influence healthy relationships and family governance and advance family unity and trust as critical components to ensure family enterprise longevity.

The EM Program of UA&P is the country’s pioneering Bachelor of Science program that effectively nurtures the next generation of entrepreneurs with its intense, holistic, and integrated formation course uniquely designed to nurture the youth with entrepreneurial talent and mindset. For more than 25 years, the program has developed students not to be mere technicians but leaders, innovators, and thinkers who can articulate their ideas well and aspire to envision a better economy and society.

PFBC is a holistic and multidisciplinary team of consultants who are thought leaders with global knowledge, local expertise, and regional coverage that inspires and influences business growth, family unity, and sustains generations of families in business.

UA&P launches Continuing Real-World Education

Recognizing the need to adapt to changes in the current educational landscape and to keep up with the evolving demand for professionals with specialized skills, the University has created CORE or Continuing Real-Word Education: a brand of programs that are curated, relevant, and responsive to the market’s current needs.

Spearheaded by the Special Projects Office (SPO) that is directly under the Office of the University President, CORE aims to diversify and strengthen UA&P’s professional and executive education offerings further. In addition, CORE aims to provide professionals with an avenue to upskill and re-skill in a highly competitive environment, transforming them into valuable assets in their respective fields of specialization.
