The School of Management (SMN) cordially invites the UA&P faculty, managers, supervisors, and administrative staff to “A Workshop on Advanced Empirical Methods for Research” on January 25, February 8, February 22, and March 8 (Wednesdays).
This four-session workshop will provide a conceptual understanding of the application of two widely used Structural Equation Model (SEM) approaches prevalent in the academic literature and businesses doing research. The workshop will focus on the understanding, interpretation, and analysis of the theoretical output and shall rely on the R software to do the heavy lifting on the statistical and computational part of the methodology.
The lecturer is Dr. Robert Roque, Assistant Professor and the Executive Director of the Center for Family Business Excellence of SMN.

The Information Science and Technology (IST) department of the School of Sciences and Engineering of UA&P is now accepting paper submissions to Innovatus: A Journal on Computing Technology Innovations, the official research journal of the IST.
Industry leaders, think tanks, and other relevant stakeholders are encouraged to share their thoughts in the areas of Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Data Science and Business Analytics, FinTech, Augmented and Virtual Reality, and related fields.
Submissions may come in the following forms:
Expert Opinion articles
These are short articles that point out strengths and weaknesses of specific topics, techniques, or results.
Suggested minimum word count: 2000 words
Perspectives pieces
These are short articles that discuss the future direction of a specific topic. Such insights should be based on recent literature (at the latest, 3 years ago).
Suggested minimum word count: 3500 words
Commentary pieces
These are short articles that discuss reactions to specific publication articles, highlighting specific critiques and viewpoints.
Suggested minimum word count: 1000-1500 words
Research articles
These are complete research works under the following fields: Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Data Science and Business Analytics, FinTech, Augmented and Virtual Reality, and other related fields.
Recommended number of pages: 4 or more.
The above submissions should be evidence-based and drawn from personal expertise with logical reasoning, backed by properly cited literature, and need not present new research results or findings.

Deadline for full paper submission: April 15, 2023
Time to first decision: Approximately 4 weeks after submission confirmation
Papers submitted under this category will require a peer review phase with evaluators consulting the editor-in-chief regarding revisions and its acceptance for publication. The submission guidelines can be found in the submission portal. Article processing charge will be waived for now as it is supported by UA&P.

As part of the year-round celebration of the School of Management’s 25th Anniversary, SMN successfully launched the UA&P Helm Awards 2022, the first-ever Alumni Achievement Awards that aims to recognize the alumni who have made important contributions to society and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have upheld the institution’s tradition of excellence.
