The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) invites students to participate in the WFUNA International Model United Nations (WIMUN) New York scheduled for February 3-6, 2025. Recognized as the world’s most authentic simulation of the United Nations, this unique event provides a powerful platform for students to engage with global issues and develop essential skills for driving positive change.
WFUNA, a global nonprofit established in 1946 with Consultative Status at the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), has designed WIMUN to mirror the true workings of the United Nations. By joining WIMUN, participants will gain a rare opportunity to interact directly with UN staff and experts, learning from their experiences and insights.
Held annually in New York and Geneva, WIMUN conferences bring together students from across six continents. As participants, students will not only deepen their understanding of international relations but also enhance their abilities in negotiation, teamwork, and consensus-building—skills essential to becoming effective global citizens.
