Chaplaincy Advisory: 2025 Easter Triduum Schedule of Activities

 

We invite everyone to this year’s Easter Triduum Liturgical celebration at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory with a live feed at the Celestino Dizon Auditorium.

The schedule will be as follows:

April 17
Holy Thursday
The Lord’s Supper | 6:00 pm

April 18
Good Friday
The Lord’s Passion | 3:00 pm

April 19
Holy Saturday
Easter Vigil | 9:00 pm

After the Evening of the Lord’s Supper, the altar of Repose on Holy Thursday is open for Visita Iglesia until midnight. For the Easter Vigil, everyone is to assemble at the DCB Plaza. Please bring your candles with wax plates.

JC-16YP Research Forum 

 

Ang Kagawaran ng Filipino, sa pakikiisa ng Junior College Program, ay magsasagawa ng pangkumperensiyang pananaliksik na may pamagat na “Siyásik 2025: Pagdalumat sa Wika at Kulturang Pilipino” at may temang “UNITAS: Unang Hakbang tungo sa Intelektuwalisasyon mula sa iba’t ibang larang” sa ika-7 ng Mayo, 2025, sa Li Seng Giap Auditorium.

Ang salitang “Siyásik” ay nagmula sa salitang Filipino na “siyasat” at “pananaliksik” na nangangahulugang “masusing pagsusuri o pananaliksik.” 

Tampok sa kauna-unahang kumperensiyang pananaliksik na ito ang pinakamahuhusay na papel-saliksik ng bawat seksiyon ng Junior College Program na kasalukuyang kumukuha ng Filipino 012 o ang “Pagbasa at Pagsuri ng Iba’t Ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik.”

Layunin ng kumperensya na (1) mapalawak ang kaalaman at kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral sa kanilang kurso, edukasyon, at nasyon, (2) pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino at intelektuwalisasyon ng Filipino at (3) gampanin ng kabataan sa pagtataguyod ng pag-aaral ng araling Pilipinas. Gayundin, inaasahan ng Kagawaran ng Filipino na  magiging mas makabuluhan ito sa pag-aaral at personal na pag-unlad ng mga dadalo bilang mga mag-aaral na nasa isang unibersidad.

 

Forum on Academic Freedom of HEIs

 

The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU), in partnership with Estrada & Aquino Law and with the support of the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), would like to invite you to attend the executive session titled "The Legal Mind: Academic Freedom of Institutions of Higher Learning" on April 22 (Tuesday) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Centennial Auditorium, Jose Rizal University, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

This program aims to provide valuable insights into promoting, protecting, and strengthening the various aspects of academic freedom of higher education institutions (HEIs). 

The forum will also cover the following topics:

I. Governance of Philippine Higher Education: An Overview
II. Balancing Student Protection and the Academic Freedom to Enforce Discipline
III. The Extent and Boundaries of the Academic Freedom: Who May Teach? (Navigating Labor Laws for the University)
IV. A Safe Space Begins with Me (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act, Safe Spaces Act, and other laws promoting the welfare of students and school personnel)

Call for Volunteers: 25th Civitas Asia National Student Conference

The Center for Student Affairs - Office of Student Development is now accepting applications for the 25th Civitas Asia National Student Conference (civAsia) - Project Management Team.

Open to all undergraduate students not applying for graduation this school year (2024-2025). Visit this link for more details.

Meditation and Merienda Get-together for Women, April 22

All female faculty and staff are invited to the Meditation for Women on April 22 (Tuesday) from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the ALB Oratory. This monthly 30-minute meditation offers an opportunity for female employees to pause, reflect, pray, and listen to God.

Immediately after the meditation, a merienda get-together will be held at the Executive Cafe.
