UA&P Honorary Grand Chancellor to visit the Philippines this July

Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, the Prelate of Opus Dei and Honorary Grand Chancellor of the University of Asia and the Pacific, is set to visit the Philippines from July 25 to August 5, 2023.

Msgr. Ocáriz, the third successor of Saint JosemarÍa Escrivá as head of Opus Dei, last came to the Philippines in 2008 to accompany the late Bishop Javier Echevarría, who was then Prelate of Opus Dei. Bishop Echevarría had his last get-together in UA&P on July 31, 2008.

According to the Opus Dei Communications Office in the Philippines, Msgr. Ocáriz is scheduled to have gatherings with the faithful of Opus Dei, their families and friends, as well as to visit some of their apostolic and social projects in the country. From the Philippines, he will have a short stay in Indonesia before proceeding to Australia.

UA&P entrusts its spiritual and doctrinal guidance to the Prelature of Opus Dei, which helps ordinary lay people seek holiness in and through their everyday activities, especially through their work.
