The Center for Research and Communication (CRC) will hold another run of the Data Protection Officer Foundational Course on August 11, 12, 18, 19, & 25, 2023.
The DPO Foundational Course is a four-day interactive instructor-led training with course study material by subject matter experts and intensive writeshops on privacy impact assessment, privacy notice, and advisory opinions, among others. It adheres to international standards such as ISOs and is the first step to becoming a practicing Data Protection Officer. The course is open to everyone who wishes to jumpstart a career in data privacy. The lectures are conducted via Zoom.
An examination will be administered by the CRC on the afternoon of the fifth day of the training to assess what the participants have learned throughout the course.
This run will be delivered by Atty. Jpee Hernandez and Atty. Karl Baquiran, who previously worked in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner and the Compliance Office of the National Privacy Commission, respectively.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who attended at least 3 out of the 4 lecture days and a Certificate of Recognition if they pass the CRC assessment exam.
The course is offered with a 20% discount to UA&P employees, students, and alumni. The regular course fee is P37,500.00.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Senen U. Reyes as the Executive Director of the Center for Food and Agribusiness (CFA) effective 15 July 2023. Mr. Reyes was appointed as the Deputy Director of CFA in April.
We enjoin everyone to lend their support to Mr. Reyes and CFA in this transition period as they work towards our strategic goals this new school year.
We thank Dr. Napoleon “Nap” K. Juanillo, Jr. for his contribution despite his brief service in CFA. We congratulate him on his appointment as the Assistant Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
