Sa online forum ng propesyonalisasyon ng pagsasalin na naganap noong ika-29 ng Agosto 2023, napili bilang isa sa mga reaktor si Dr. Moreal N. Camba, tagapangulo ng Kagawaran ng Filipino ng UA&P.
Layon ng forum na ibahagi ng ilang piling unibersidad sa National Capital Region (NCR) ang kani-kanilang mga personal na danas sa pagsusulong ng propesyonalisasyon ng Pagsasalin Filipino. Isinusulong nito ang kolaborasyon ng iba’t ibang institusyon upang mapabuti ang kalidad ng Pagsasalin Filipino at mas mapalaganap ito sa mas malawak na komunidad.
Naging tagapanayam sa forum ang tagapangulo ng University of the Philippines Diliman - Sentro ng Wikang Filipino, Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Sentro ng Pagsasalin, University of Santo Tomas - Sentro sa Salin at Araling Salin, at De La Salle University – SALITA. Kasama rin bilang reaktor ang tagapangulo ng Philippine Normal University - Language Center at Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino - Sangay ng Salin.
The Center for Research and Communication (CRC) will hold another run of the Data Protection Officer Foundational Course on October 13, 14, 20, 21, & 27, 2023.
The DPO Foundational Course is a four-day interactive instructor-led training with course study material by subject matter experts and intensive writeshops on privacy impact assessment, privacy notice, and advisory opinions, among others. It adheres to international standards such as ISOs and is the first step to becoming a practicing Data Protection Officer. The course is open to everyone who wishes to jumpstart a career in data privacy. The lectures are conducted via Zoom.
An examination will be administered by the CRC on the afternoon of the fifth day of the training to assess what the participants have learned throughout the course.
This run will be delivered by Atty. Jpee Hernandez and Atty. Karl Baquiran, who previously worked in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner and the Compliance Office of the National Privacy Commission, respectively.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who attended at least 3 out of the 4 lecture days and a Certificate of Recognition if they pass the CRC assessment exam.
The course is offered with a 20% discount to UA&P employees, students, and alumni. The regular course fee is P37,500.00.

Magbabahagi ng kanilang saliksik ang dalawang guro ng College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) sa ika-20 Pambansang Seminar ng Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro (PASADO).
Sina G. Louise Vincent B. Amante ng Departamento ng Filipino at Dr. Leodivico C. Lacsamana ng Humanities Program ay magtatalakay ng kanilang mga saliksik sa naturang seminar. Paksa ni G. Amante ang tungkol sa araling adaptasyon mula maikling kuwento tungong nobela at pelikula ng Mondomanila. Tatalakayin naman ni Dr. Lacsamana ang iba pang mga pagsipat sa pagbasa ng mga nobelang Noli Me Tangere at El Filibusterismo ni Jose Rizal.
Tema ng nasabing seminar ang “Rebolusyong Industriyal 4.0: Eksplorasyon at Perspektiba sa Wika, Pelikula, at Panitikan”. Bukod kina G. Amante at Dr. Lacsamana, may 16 pang magbabahagi ng kanilang mga saliksik na nakaugnay sa naturang tema. Ang direktor ng nasabing pambansang seminar ng PASADO ay si Dr. Moreal N. Camba, kasalukuyang tagapangulo ng Departamento ng Filipino ng CAS.
Gaganapin mula Setyembre 22 hanggang 23 ang naturang seminar ng PASADO sa National Teachers College, 629 J. Nepomuceno Street, Quiapo, Manila.
