Seminar on Navigating Mental Health Services for Young Children

 

The School of Education and Human Development (SED) invites all licensed professional teachers to its CPD-granting seminar “Does My Child Have A Problem?: Helping Teachers and Parents Navigate Mental Health Services for Young Children” on November 25 (Saturday) from 8:00 am to 12 pm at ACB 401.

This seminar, to be facilitated by SED Dean Dr. Angelito Z. Antonio, will provide the participants with the framework and process of looking into a child’s behavior and determining which psychological and learning problems of children merit professional attention and, possibly, further evaluation and subsequent intervention.

Licensed professional teachers will earn 3 CPD points upon completion of the seminar.

The non-refundable registration fee of Php641 is inclusive of meals, handouts, and certificates.

SLG Dean chosen CSSP Distinguished Alumnus for Educational Innovation

 

Dr. Nicomedes B. Alviar, Dean of the UA&P School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG), was one of the alumni feted by the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman in celebration of CSSP's 40th anniversary.

Dr. Alviar, who holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from UP Diliman, received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Educational Innovation during the CSSP Alumni Homecoming held on October 21 for his contributions to the academe and his work with several local and international non-governmental organizations.
