The Eucharistic adoration scheduled on November 3 will not push through. This weekly activity will resume on November 10.

RFID data capture schedule for UA&P students & employees

 

In preparation for the completion of the new RFID system, the Assets and Facilities Management (AFM), in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), would like to invite all UA&P employees and students to the RFID data capturing activity to be held on November 6 to 10 (Monday-Friday) at the Metrobank Lobby of ACB from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm

This activity aims to capture the active employees' and enrolled students' RFID data to ensure smooth entry to and exit from the campus. The procedure below will take only two to five minutes:

  • Approach the assigned ICT staff at the RFID booth.
  • Tap your ID on the provided device.
  • ICT captures the ID's unique identifier and saves the data to the new RFID system.
  • Re-tap your ID on the provided device to ensure that the data has been captured.

Note: Employees whose RFID data has been captured on October 25 at the PLDT Hall may feel free to tap their IDs at the booth to check if their RFID card works.

AFM Advisory: Canteen operations to resume on November 6

 

The University canteen and the food concessionaires will be closed today (October 31) and on November 3 (Friday). They will resume operations on November 6 (Monday).

Dragon Race Online Fund Raising Activity

 

The Fund Development Office (FDO) invites all UA&P faculty members, students, staff, alumni, and parents to join the UA&P Dragon Race, the first-ever university-wide online fundraising activity for the benefit of the Phoenix Endowment Program, an institutional scholarship fund for financial assistance scholars and merit scholars with financial needs.

Registration is from November 15 to December 15, 2023, while the activity proper is from January 15 to April 15, 2024.

Participating teams have the chance to win the following prizes and awards:

  • Overall Winners. Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will be given to the teams that raised the most funds at the end of the race. Prize: Trophy with cash prize

Gold: P15,000.00
Silver: P10,000.00
Bronze: P7,000.00

  • Top Fundraiser for the Month Awards. First, Second, and Third place awards will be given to the teams that raised the most funds for each month (Month 1: Jan 15 - Feb 14; Month 2: Feb 15 - March 14; Month 3: March 15 - April 15.
    Prize: Virtual Badge
  • Most Creative Fundraising Idea Award. Given to the group with the most original and creative fundraising approach.
    Prize: Medals
  • Best Team Spirit Award. Given to the group that gathered the most number of participants.

  • Fundraiser Award. Given to the group that organized activities with high social impact.

  • Most Sustainable Fundraiser Award. Given to the group that organized activities with the greatest environmental impact.

LIT faculty member wins Palanca Award for Poetry

 

Mr. Vince Agcaoili, a faculty member of the Literature Department of the College of Arts and Sciences, emerged as one of the winners of the Palanca Awards under the Poetry category.

His collection, CARRYING, was adjudged second prize by this year’s Board of Judges for the 2023 Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature. The same collection is in the works for self-publication and is expected to be released by November this year.

The awarding ceremony will be held on November 27, 2023, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
