Appointment of Fr. Carlos V.G. Estrada as University Chaplain

 

The Management Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Fr. Carlos V.G. Estrada as the new University Chaplain effective 1 January 2024. With this, the composition of the Chaplaincy Council is as follows:

We enjoin the University community to welcome back Fr. Estrada, who served as the Regional Vicar of Opus Dei in the Philippines and Indonesia and the Vice Grand Chancellor of UA&P until 2022.

We thank Fr. Emmanuel A. Garrido for his years of dedicated service to UA&P and wish him the best in his new assignment.

Lecture on Reconfiguring School Leadership in a Post-pandemic Learning Environment

 

The School of Education and Human Development invites everyone to its Quarterly Faculty Lecture Series on January 24 (Wednesday) from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm via Zoom.
 
Mr. Paul Cheng, Associate Director for Academic Standards of PAREF Southridge School, will talk about the pandemic experience of a Basic Education school’s senior and middle management, and how that has shaped their leadership mindset and competencies post-pandemic.

Server maintenance on January 2

 

Please be informed that there will be a scheduled downtime on our servers on January 2, 2024, at 9:00 pm. The EmpowerEd production core server and database will undergo a scale-up to prevent the server from slowing down during enrollment. The downtime will last up to one hour.

During the interruption, the EmpowerEd system will be inaccessible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Final notice for RFID data capture

 

Effective January 22, 2024 (Monday), the new RFID 2.0 will be implemented as the entry/exit program of the University. Students and employees not yet registered in this new system will not be allowed entry.

To assist those who have missed the previous data capture drive of ICT, data capture stations will be made available from January 3-20, 2024, at all entrances. We strongly encourage everyone to register in the RFID 2.0 system to avoid any inconvenience.

Town hall meeting on January 17, 2024

 

The Management Committee invites all faculty and staff to a town hall meeting with the University President at the Li Seng Giap Auditorium on January 17 (Wednesday) from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

The activity aims to serve as a venue for the President to inform and update the University community of the simplified strategic plan and vision 2030 and to hear the feedback of the University's faculty and staff.
