Announcement from the School of Management

The School of Management will celebrate its 27th founding anniversary on December 6 (Wednesday). A special Eucharistic Celebration will be held at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory at 12:05 pm.

Part of the activities is the Year End Food and Agribusiness Conference, in collaboration with the Center for Food and AgriBusiness (CFA), with the theme “Transforming Philippine Food and Agribusiness: Driving Productivity and Efficiency in the Sector.” It will be held on December 6 at 1:00 pm at the PLDT Hall and will be streamed simultaneously via Zoom.

The conference seeks to present the industry performance of selected commodities, the experiences of organizations/companies on transformative agribusiness models, and the challenges for increasing agricultural productivity and efficiency. These can provide industry stakeholders with planned steps in maximizing opportunities in the food and agriculture sector.

New RFID parallel testing

There will be parallel testing for our new RFID system starting December 11, 2023, until January 20, 2024, at the following gates: Pearl Drive, PSB, and DCB.

During this period, please be aware of the following:

  • Additional tapping stations will be installed to test the new RFID system.
  • The existing system and the new RFID system will be simultaneously operational.

Students and employees are encouraged to do the following to help with the parallel testing:

  • When entering or leaving the campus, use both the new and the old tapping stations.
  • If you encounter errors or issues, or would like to provide suggestions or feedback, please inform our onsite guards or message [email protected].

For those who have not gone through the RFID data capture, you may proceed to the ICT Office from Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The parallel testing will help the University implement a streamlined and more efficient RFID system.

Your full cooperation is highly appreciated. Unitas!

Sunway University signs MOU with UA&P

On November 16, the School of Arts of Sunway University (Sun-U), Malaysia, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with UA&P, paving the way for a more fruitful academic exchange between the two universities, which are both part of the ASEAN education network.

University President Dr. Winston Conrad B. Padojinog inked an agreement at the PLDT Hall with Sun-U School of Arts Associate Dean (International) Dr. Mayco Axel Santaella and Department of Communication Head Dr. Padma Priya K.R. Pillai. That afternoon, Dr. Pillai delivered a lecture on “Nay or Say of Non-playable Characters (NPC) Trends in TikTok” and how it leaves a digital footprint.

The Sun-U professors’ visit to UA&P and the MOU is an offshoot of the benchmarking visit of the College of Arts and Sciences to Sun-U in July 2023.
