SDO-Bulacan recognizes UA&P-IST

 

The University of Asia and the Pacific – Department of Information Science and Technology (UA&P-IST) has been awarded as one of the select Major Private Education Partners of the Schools Division of Bulacan (SDO-Bulacan) on December 4. 

The recognition ceremony aims to bring together key stakeholders, both internal and external, including educators, administrators, policymakers, industry leaders, parents, and community members, to engage in productive dialogues and foster meaningful partnerships.

UA&P-IST has four public school partners since 2019 from different municipalities in Bulacan:

Virginia Ramirez-Cruz National High School (Pandi, Bulacan)
F. Mendoza Memorial Elementary School (Calumpit, Bulacan)
Jose J. Mariano Memorial High School (Plaridel, Bulacan)
Frances Elementary School (Calumpit, Bulacan)

The University Canteen will be open until December 22 (Friday) and will resume operations on January 4. The food stalls at the University Student Commons will be closed starting December 11 (Monday) and will resume operations on January 15, 2024.

National Center for Mental Health: ICT Inventory Management System
The project addressed the pressing need for an enhanced inventory tracking and asset management within the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH), primarily focusing on the institution’s ICT inventory that offers a comprehensive overview of detailed specifications, acquisition dates, expected end-of-life details, and other asset attributes.

A Proactive Approach to a Barangay Management Information System for Barangay San Antonio (Pasig City)
The project looked into the current condition of barangay database management in Barangay San Antonio and analyzed the obstacles and limitations impeding its efficacy. With the successful adoption of an online information system, the project is applicable to other local government organizations looking to modernize their database management procedures.

Web-Based Document Management System for the National Center for Mental Health
The project looked at developing an advanced web-based document management tailored to the Quality Management Office (QMO) of the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH). The project’s significance lies in digitizing NCMH’s document operations for increased efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

UA&P congratulates 2023 Bar exam passers

 

UA&P congratulates its graduates who passed the 2023 Philippine Bar Examinations held last September. Welcoming 11 new lawyers this year, the UA&P Law program posted on social media:

“The UA&P Law Community is beyond proud of your great achievement. We laud you for persevering through the tribulations as you pursued the journey of becoming a member of the legal profession. No doubt, UA&P Law’s rigorous and holistic training has molded you into a person grounded in integrity, justice, and humility. We cannot wait to see your innumerable contributions to society.”

A total of 3,812 out of 10,387 examinees passed the 2023 Bar exams for a passing rate of 36.77 percent. Their oath-taking and roll-signing ceremonies will take place on December 22 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
