VolunTArYO features PAWS

The CSA Office of Student Development (OSD) - Civics is pleased to announce the VolunTArYO featured organization for January 2024, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

Know more about PAWS this coming January 22 to 26 by visiting the UA&P OSD-Civics FB Page.

In-kind donations (e.g., dog/cat food, pet grooming supplies, household cleaning supplies) will also be accepted during this period at ACB Prom A (dropbox) and the CSA Office located at 2/F CAS Building (look for Ms. Mich).

VolunTArYO (V-TAYO) is a campaign of OSD-Civics, which features various external socio-civic organizations: their advocacies, activities/projects, and volunteer opportunities. Moreover, V-TAYO intends to encourage UA&P students and employees to involve themselves actively in the community through partnerships/collaboration and the voluntary sharing of their time, talent, and treasure to various causes.

Server maintenance on January 18

Please be informed that there will be a scheduled downtime on our servers on January 18 (Thursday) at 9:00 pm. The EmpowerEd production core server and database will undergo a scale-down considering the load in the system has gone down with the completion of the undergraduate and graduate program enrollment period. The downtime will last up to one hour.

During the interruption, the EmpowerEd system will be inaccessible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

UA&P Eucharistic Procession 2024

Everyone is invited to this year's Eucharistic Procession at UA&P, which will be held on February 1 (Thursday). Assembly will be at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory at 10:00 am.

The theme for this year's procession is "Listening to God and others." Here is a brief explanation from the UA&P Chaplaincy on the theme:

"Pope Francis said that 'a synodal Church is a listening Church'. 'Listening, in communication, is an openness of heart which makes possible that closeness without which genuine spiritual encounter cannot occur. Listening helps us to find the right gesture and word which shows that we are more than simply bystanders.' (Evangelii Gaudium, 171)

We will encounter Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament around the campus in a Eucharistic Procession. Let us listen to what Jesus wants to tell us and what he asks of us. May we not be simple bystanders. Listening to Our Lord will help us listen to others. We can then become other Christs walking beside others and accompanying them to respond to God's love."

In addition, we humbly appeal to the community's generosity to help fund expenses related to the Eucharistic Procession 2024, such as the flowers to be used for the floral carpets and station altars. Your contributions will help us welcome the new year and semester with a joyous and solemn procession: https://bit.ly/uapep2024donations
