Call for Entries: Awards for Publication of Scholarly Work 2024

 

The University Research Office would like to announce the call for entries for the Awards for Publication of Scholarly Work (2024). You may submit your entries (published scholarly works) through the Research Engagements and Achievements Application (REA App), the official repository of research accomplishments of UA&P.

Below are the guidelines:

  • Coverage period: Published work from July 16, 2023, to June 15, 2024. Works "accepted for publication" or "are in press" are not eligible for awards.
  • Full-time UA&P Faculty members and Academic Non-Teaching Staff: The employee must be affiliated with UA&P during the conduct of scholarly work and at the time of its publication. A faculty member/ academic non-teaching staff may receive more than one award. The reward is on a per publication basis, i.e., if there is more than one author, only the main/lead author shall be awarded and he/she will take care of distributing the financial award to co-authors.

The deadline for submission of entries to the REA App is extended to June 21 (Friday). If you wish, you may also send an email to [email protected] once you have entered your entries into the REA App.

Awardees will be announced on University Day, August 15, 2024.

UA&P lumahok sa 7th International Conference on Asian and Philippine Studies

 

Ibinahagi ni Dr. Moreal Camba ng Kagawaran ng Filipino ng UA&P ang kaniyang pananaliksik na pinamagatang “Ang Filipino Bilang Katutubo sa Manila Carnival (1908-1915): Ang Iba’t ibang Imahen ng Katutubong Filipino sa mga Retrato ng Ilang Piling Pahayagan sa Filipinas” sa ginanap na 7th International Conference on Asian and Philippine Studies (ICAPS) noong Mayo 30 hanggang Hunyo 1, 2024 sa Lungsod ng Baguio.

Layon ng ICAPS na makabigay ng espasyo sa mga nagpapakadaluhasa sa Araling Asya at Araling Pilipinas na maibahagi ang kanilang mga pananaliksik at makalikha ng mga propesyonal na ugnayan ng mga mananaliksik.

Ang ICAPS ay inorganisa ng Kolehiyo ng Malalayang Sining ng Pamantasang De La Salle – Maynila.

LIB closed on June 7-8

 

The physical premises of the University Library will be closed on June 7-8 (Friday & Saturday) for the annual library staff enrichment program. Everyone is encouraged to use the digital library services at https://library.uap.asia on the said days.

The Library will reopen on June 10 (Monday) following the midyear term schedule below:

8:30 am to 5:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
8:30 am to 12:00 pm (Saturday)

Ask ViRA will also be offline on June 7-8. All offline messages will be responded to the following workday. 

Mental Health Talk for Parents

 

The Center for Student Affairs (CSA) - Office of Guidance and Counseling (OGC) is pleased to invite the UA&P parents, faculty, mentors, and staff to its mental health talk for parents this year entitled “Nurturing Bonds Through Emotionally Present Parenting.” The webinar will be held on June 15 (Saturday) from 9:00 am to 11:00 am via Zoom.

The resource speaker is Dr. Michele Alignay, an expert in family psychology, parenting the digital generation, and well-being and self-growth. The talk aims to empower the parents of college students with practical insights and strategies for fostering emotional presence and nurturing bonds. By equipping parents with tools to enhance their communication, understanding, and support for their college-going children, the talk seeks to strengthen family relationships, promote student well-being, and contribute to a positive and supportive college experience for all involved. 

The fee is PHP350 per participant. Interested participants can pre-register through this link (sign in via Google).
