The University Library will be closed from July 15 to July 27, 2024. During this period, graduating students can submit their thesis through their respective schools. The Library will coordinate directly with the program officers on July 29, 2024.

NAMFREL & UA&P host RTD on AI use in elections
On June 26, the National Citizens' Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL), along with the UA&P School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance, held a roundtable discussion on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in elections.
The discussion sought to gather from the participants their inputs and comments that would lead to the drafting of a Code of Conduct on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Philippine Elections and Election-Related Activities. The draft will then be submitted to the Commission on Elections for consideration.
Various stakeholders from civil society organizations, academe, media, and the information technology and cybersecurity sectors participated and shared their insights.
The event is supported by the Philippine Computer Emergency Response Team (PHCERT) and the National Association of Data Protection Officers of the Philippines (NADPOP).

Graduation survey for faculty & staff
The 2024 Graduation Rites will be held at the Plenary Hall of PICC on August 26 (Monday) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In line with this, the Graduation Committee requests all faculty and staff to fill out this survey form on or before July 20 (Saturday).
PACU-Turnitin webinar on assessments and AI
The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU), supported by Turnitin and the Private Education Assistance Committee, would like to invite educators and administrators to the webinar "Secure Assessment in the Age of AI: Protecting Professional Standards in Education" on July 24 (Wednesday) from 9:00 am to 11:15 am via Zoom.
This webinar will provide valuable insights into the challenges posed by AI-generated content in exams and offer practical solutions to ensure the security and reliability of assessments.

Canteen & food stalls closed on July 17-27
Please be informed that the University Canteen and the food stalls at the University Student Commons (USC) will be closed from July 17 to 27. Normal operations will resume on July 29, 2024 (Monday). We kindly ask all onsite employees and students to adjust their plans accordingly during this period.
