CSA Advisory: Annual Physical Exam (APE) for UA&P Students S.Y. 2024-25

This school year's Annual Physical Exam (APE) for UA&P Students under the 4YPs, 5YPs, 6YPs and 7YP will be conducted from October 1-20, 2024 at any Hi-Precision Diagnostics branch within the Greater Manila Area (Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan).

Students may claim their APE Referral Slips at the USC First Aid Station (Weekdays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) or PSB First Aid Station (Saturdays only, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 nn.).

Career Assessment Program (2nd run)

 

The CSA-Office of Career Services invites all UA&P incoming interns, graduating students, and recent graduates to participate in the second run of their Career Assessment Program. 

This online initiative offers a unique opportunity to uncover strengths, interests, and potential career paths through engaging assessments, which can be completed remotely. Participants will gain valuable insights, make informed decisions, and discover the ideal career path that aligns with their career aspirations.
 
The program is free and limited to 50 participants. Interested participants may register here until October 3, 2024.

SLG hosts lecture on Germany’s Indo-Pacific security perspective

 

The School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG), in partnership with the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, hosted a public lecture on "Germany's View on Indo-Pacific Security" on September 18, 2024.

German scholars Dr. Felix Heiduk, Georgi Engelbrecht, and  Paula Köhler discussed defense policy, peace efforts in Mindanao, AI-driven disinformation, and the West Philippine Sea disputes. 

In attendance were several guests from the diplomatic community and students from the Political Economy and Juris Doctor programs of UA&P.

 

Dr. Felix Heiduk, Asia Research Division Head of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, talked about Germany's evolving security and defense policy amidst geostrategic shifts and Sino-American rivalry.

 

 

Mr. Georgi Engelbrecht, senior analyst at the International Crisis Group, talked about Manila's shift to external defense, an imperative of peace in Mindanao.

 

 

Paula Köhler, policy advisor at the Munich Security Conference, discussed about disinformation, space security, and emerging technologies.

MScM Public Seminars

 

Everyone is invited to the onsite public seminars hosted by the Master of Science in Management Program (MScM) on October 1 (Tuesday) and October 8 (Tuesday). Both will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 pm at CAS 104.

UA&P teams win WNCAA Season 55 opening games

 

Both the UA&P Women’s Futsal Varsity and UA&P Women’s Volleyball Team won their season opening games against the Miriam College Knollers at the Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) Volleyball and Futsal Seniors Division Tournament that started on September 22 at Assumption, Antipolo and San Beda College - Alabang, respectively. 

The UA&P Women’s Futsal Varsity made a statement by getting 10-0 against the Knollers. Lexi Fuentes scored a hat trick (3), followed by Ella Abaa (2), Danie Manuel (2), Renee Lazo, Aela Fuentes, and Gayle Olayvar.

On the same day, the UA&P Women’s Volleyball Team swept the Knollers in straight sets, 25-19, 25-18, 25-21, with Raffie Leon emerging as the best player of the game with 7 attacks and 2 service aces.

Both UA&P teams will have their second game on September 29 (Sunday), with the Women’s Futsal Varsity facing the Assumption College San Lorenzo Aces at 8:00 AM at San Beda College - Alabang. The UA&P Women’s Volleyball team, on the other hand, will be playing against the Centro Escolar University Scorpions at Assumption, Antipolo at 1:00 PM. 

The UA&P community is invited to watch and support our teams for their upcoming games. Tickets are available at the venue for 100 pesos only.
