UA&P Forum on Strategic Autonomy and EU-ASEAN Relations 


 
The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), through the School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG), invites you to a public forum on “Navigating Geopolitical and Geoeconomic Dynamics: Strategic Autonomy and EU-ASEAN Relations in a Multiplex World Order” on May 8  (Thursday) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the PLDT Hall.

This forum will delve into the following critical themes:

  • The evolving geopolitical and geoeconomic landscape and the need for recalibration of partnerships and strategies.
  • Understanding strategic autonomy for the EU and ASEAN emphasizes self-sufficiency in political, economic, security, and technological spheres.
  • The implications of the EU’s strategic compass and how it intersects with ASEAN’s goals for regional stability and development.
  • The significance of interregional trade agreements and how they can fortify economic resilience and reduce dependency on major global powers.
  • The evolving global and regional security architectures and their impact on EU-ASEAN relations in the context of the growing geopolitical and geoeconomic rivalries.

Exhibit on the Sacred Relics of the Passion

 

UA&P Alab, the student arm of the UA&P Chaplaincy, in collaboration with the Blessed Ivan Merz Reliquarium in Marikina, presents “May Pag-Asa Pa Ba? An Exhibit on the Sacred Relics of the Passion," which will be on display from April 30 (Wednesday) to May 3 (Saturday) at the Hanns Seidel Hall, Development Communications Building. 

This year’s exhibit will include the image of the Sancta Maria Ianua Coeli (Holy Mary, Gate of Heaven) and Sacred Relics of the Passion and the Saints, namely, the True Cross of the Lord, Titulus Crucis, Crown of Thorns, the Twelve Apostles, Blessed Ivan Merz, and many more.
