New Membership | UA&P x AUAP

The Public and International Affairs Office is pleased to announce that UA&P is now a member of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific or AUAP.

The primary purpose of AUAP is to be the main platform for interaction and collaboration between members and to be an effective voice for universities in Asia and the Pacific region. With over 200 member universitiesAUAP holds the highest formal consultative status with UNESCO.

Launch of the UA&P Design Library

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites faculty members and students to the launch of the UA&P Design Library on August 4 (Thursday) at 9:00 am to 10:30 am via Google Meet.

The UA&P Design Library is a suite of learning experience design patterns, tools, and more, all inspired by UA&P teachers and students. RSVP here to receive the Google Meet invite.

Extension of classroom streaming setup demo and testing

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), in cooperation with the Information and Communication Technologies Office (ICT), is extending the period for teachers to see and test the classroom streaming setup for AY 2022-23. Faculty members who would like to see and test their laptops with the setup can choose a time slot from 9:00 am to 12 noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm any day during the period of August 1 (Monday) to August 6 (Saturday) at the ICT Office at the APEC Communications Building (ACB) Roof Deck. IMPORTANT: Faculty members planning to test the setup are advised to download the camera driver (OBSBOT Tiny Cam) here and Microsoft Teams here and have them installed beforehand. In case you have never activated your Microsoft Office 365 license, please access this article from the ICT Knowledge Base.

You may also test other devices and/or paraphernalia that you typically use in synchronous sessions, e.g., tablet, phone, earphones, etc. Lastly, while the setup is more suited with Zoom and MS Teams, you may also test it using Google Meet to see the configuration differences and find out what might work better for you.
