Appointment of Dr. Napoleon K. Juanillo, Jr. as the Executive Director of CFA
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Napoleon K. Juanillo, Jr. as the Executive Director of the Center for Food and Agribusiness (CFA) effective 15 December 2022.
Dr. Juanillo obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, USA. He was Assistant Professor at the College of Agriculture, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA and at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. In the Philippines, he was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Director for Research and Resource Development at San Beda University. He recently served as Assistant Secretary for the Competitiveness and Innovation Group of the Department of Trade and Industry where he spearheaded the initiatives of the Regional Inclusive Innovation Centers (RIIC). He joined UA&P as Consultant and Deputy Executive Director last October 2022.
We enjoin everyone to welcome Dr. Juanillo and lend him support in his new role in the University.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Rolando T. Dy for his dedicated service and invaluable contribution as Executive Director of the Center for Food and Agribusiness (CFA). His leadership has allowed the Center and the University to be acknowledged as one of the leading think tanks in the agri-food industry and has made an indelible mark in developing local agri-entrepreneurship and enhancing the sector’s competitiveness. We continue to count on Dr. Dy as CFA Consultant in this transition period.
In the meantime, the Research and Extension Cluster Operations Committee (R&E OpCom) shall continue with three members:

Annual Physical Exam S.Y. 2022-2023
This Annual Physical Examination (APE) for all full-time employees for SY 2022-2023 will be administered by Hi-Precision Diagnostics (HPD) from January 4, 2023 to February 4, 2023 through their various branches nationwide. Employees may undergo the APE at any Hi-Precision branch of their choice (i.e., nearest to their residence).

Jesus-Centered Life (JCL) International Conference 2022
Everyone is invited to attend the Jesus-Centered Life (JCL) International Conference entitled "Holy and Heroic: The Courage to be Catholic" happening online on December 8 (Thursday). The conference will feature John Beaulieu, Director for Evangelization and Engagement of the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
The JCL Conference is an annual gathering of students, parents, educators, and young professionals around the world to share ideas, inspiration, and best practices on living and promoting the life centered on the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
