School of Management launches UA&P Helm Awards 2022

 

As part of the year-round celebration of the School of Management’s 25th Anniversary, SMN successfully launched the UA&P Helm Awards 2022, the first-ever Alumni Achievement Awards that aims to recognize the alumni who have made important contributions to society and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have upheld the institution’s tradition of excellence. 

In the awarding ceremonies held on December 10, 2022 at the Li Seng Giap Auditorium of UA&P, the following awards were bestowed to the outstanding SMN alumni:

Alumni Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The Alumni Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is given to forward thinkers and entrepreneurs. This award recognizes the efforts and accomplishments of remarkable entrepreneurs who will serve as an inspiration and motivate others to become successful business owners.
Awardee: Anthony Mark Ong Ng

Alumni Award for Community Engagement and Social Advocacy – Social Enterprise
This award is given to alumni who are engaged in voluntarism, social work, business inclusion, and grassroots development.
Awardee: Jose Alvaro Severino Cruz Nito

Alumni Award for Community Engagement and Social Advocacy – Public Enterprise
This award is given to alumni who are engaged in voluntarism, social work, business inclusion, and grassroots development.
Awardee: Ferdinand Viceo Estrella

Alumni Award for Professional Achievement
This award is for the alumni who have excelled in the corporate world, research, and other related professional fields.
Awardee: Nicolette Soriano Bambao

Alumni Achievement Award (National/International Level)
This award is given to alumni with exceptional achievements on a national or international level.
Awardee: David Tan Leechiu

SMN also presented the 25th School of Management Anniversary Exemplary Service Award to alumni who have exhibited and sustained excellence in their respective fields, as well as remarkable dedication, service, and loyalty to the University. The awardees were the following:

The College of Arts and Sciences Operations Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Philip Michael I. Paje as the Department Chair of Asia Pacific Studies effective 2nd semester of AY 2022-2023.

We thank Dr. Elizabeth T. Urgel who served as Chair of the APS from AY 2011-2012 up to AY 2017-2018 and the previous academic years.

We encourage everyone to give their full support to the new Department Chair of APS.

February 25 declared holiday


Presidential Proclamation no. 42 has declared February 25 (Saturday) a special non-working holiday in celebration of the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary.

BSIT capstone project defense

 

The Department of Information Science and Technology of the School of Sciences and Engineering invites everyone to the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Capstone Project Defense at the SSE Workroom (CAS 5/F) on January 9 (Monday) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The capstone project is entitled "A Sales and Inventory System for Jayson Shoes." Its proponents are Andrea Colleen C. Perez, Mack Andrew T. Rosario, and Marcus Euwan F. Trinidad.
