Book on food security issues features UA&P CFA report

 

The UA&P Center for Food and Agri Business (CFA) is honored to be part of Food Security Issues in Asia, a book exploring the diverse aspects of food security in the region. Released on March 27 in Singapore, the comprehensive book with over 800 pages featuring chapters authored by various experts was edited by Professor Paul Teng of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Chapter 17 of Food Security Issues in Asia, entitled "The Dynamics of Food Production and Trade to Achieve Food Security," is written by the late Dr. Rolando T. Dy, former executive director of CFA, together with the current CFA Executive Director Senen U. Reyes and CFA specialists Marie Annette G. Dacul, Ditas R. Macabasco, and Joy Kristel L. Orzales. The chapter offers a profound analysis of the intricate relationships between food production, trade, and food security in Asia.

Published by World Scientific Publishing Company, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, Food Security Issues in Asia promises to be an indispensable resource for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners striving to address the pressing challenges of food security in Asia and beyond.

CDE Center Family Fun Run

 

The Child Development & Education (CDE) Center of the UA&P School of Education and Human Development invites everyone to the CDE Center Family Fun Run on April 28 (Sunday) from 6:30 am to 8:00 am at UA&P.

The family fun run is the culmination of the CDE Center's participation in the UA&P Dragon Race, a fundraising campaign for the benefit of the Phoenix Scholarship Endowment, UA&P's institutional scholarship fund for financial assistance scholars and merit scholars with financial needs. 

Participants are encouraged to pre-register here on or before April 20 (Saturday). The registration fee is Php1,500 per family (no limit to the number of participants per family, but registration is required). Kindly note that the onsite registration fee is Php1,800.

The School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance (SLG) invites UA&P employees and students to the information session on World Youth Alliance with Ms. Rejean Marie Darroca, Regional Director of Operations of WYA - Asia Pacific, on March 22 (Friday) at 1:30 pm at the PLDT Hall.  

The World Youth Alliance (WYA) is a global coalition of young people committed to promoting the dignity of the person and building solidarity among youth from developed and developing nations. WYA trains young people to work at the regional and international levels to impact policy and culture.
