Pasig City and the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) are inviting all stakeholders to a design charrette with Ar. Paolo Alcazaren of PGAA on January 17 (Saturday) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the PLDT Hall, ACB 4/F.

This charrette is a collaborative, hands-on workshop where residents, businesses, planners, and city officials work side by side to ensure that the final plans reflect the community's needs.

Please be advised that all Physical Education classes for the second semester of Academic Year 2025–2026 are scheduled to officially begin on January 19, 2026 (Monday). Students are expected to be in the prescribed attire (shirt and jogging pants) and footwear (rubber shoes).

Bid Guidelines:

1. Bidders may place a bid on one or more items available.

2. Bids shall be submitted via email to [email protected].

3. Viewing of items will be from January 12 to January 13, 2026:

          Location: ACB Basement 2

          Time: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

4. Submission of bidding will start on January 12. The online bidding form will close at exactly 3:00 pm on January 13, 2026.

5. Announcement of winning bids will be on January 14 at 9:30 am.

6. AFM shall issue the Notice of Award to winning bidders with indicated payment/settlement instructions.

7. AFM may/can cancel or declare a failure of bidding based on the following assessments:

• The bid offer is not in the prescribed form.
• The bid is below the minimum bid price.
• The winning bid is not paid by January 16, 2026 (no proof of bank transfer or official receipt). Failure on the part of the awardee to claim the item within the stipulated period shall deem the award cancelled, and payment is forfeited.

8. All expenses incidental to the claiming of the item (transportation, etc.) shall be borne by the winning bidder.

UA&P School of Media and Marketing (SCM) professor Dr. Robert Z. Cortes has recently co-published with an international team of researchers a scholarly article in Taylor & Francis Online titled “An International Survey About Young People, Faith and Religion: Framework of the Research and Overall Results.”

The study is the first major output of the Footprints Project, a large-scale, multi-year (eight-year) and multi-phase research initiative involving young people from eight countries: Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, the Philippines, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Grounded in a “continuous listening” approach, the project seeks to understand how young people articulate their values, aspirations, and concerns in key areas such as work, family life, and religion.

Based on survey data collected in November 2023 from 4,889 individuals aged 18–29, the article outlines the conceptual framework guiding the Footprints Project and presents an overview of its initial findings. It examines how faith and religion influence young people’s identities and behaviors across different cultural and national contexts, offering a comparative perspective on youth religiosity today.

Through its participation in this international collaboration, UA&P continues to contribute to scholarly conversations on youth, culture, and faith, while engaging with research initiatives that connect Philippine perspectives to broader global discussions.

To help you plan your schedule, here is a quick guide to the PATHFIT requirements.

1. How many PATHFIT courses do I need to graduate?

You are required to complete a total of four (4) PATHFIT courses. Think of these as a vital part of your journey toward graduation!

2. Is there a specific order I need to follow?

Yes, the program is designed to build your confidence, competence and desire to be physically active step-by-step:

• PATHFIT 1 (Movement Competency Training): This is the foundation and must be taken first.

• PATHFIT 2 (Exercise-based Fitness Activities): You can take this once you’ve completed PATHFIT 1.

• PATHFIT 3 & 4: Once you have finished PATHFIT 2, you have the freedom to choose!

   These are elective courses where you can pick from various sports, dance, exercise, or recreational activities.

3. What is the difference between PATHFIT 3 and PATHFIT 4?

The numbers simply represent the sequential order of your PE journey.

• PATHFIT 3 is your third PE course.

• PATHFIT 4 is your fourth and final PE course.

4. Can I take the same activity for both PATHFIT 3 and 4?

To give you a well-rounded experience, duplicates are not allowed. Your PATHFIT 4 activity must be different from the one you completed in PATHFIT 3. For example, if you took Futsal for PATHFIT 3, you should choose a different activity (like Street Dance or Pickleball) for PATHFIT 4.

5. Can I take two PATHFIT courses in one semester to finish faster?

No. To ensure you stay active throughout your stay in the university and to manage your workload, students are only allowed to take one (1) PATHFIT course per semester.

6. I’m a varsity athlete; does that count as my PATHFIT?

No. PATHFIT courses are a distinct academic requirement. Substitution is not allowed. Regardless of varsity status or other extracurricular physical activities, every student must enroll in and complete the official PATHFIT courses.

Ramirez have recently published a scholarly article titled “Footprints of the Faith among Filipino Youth: Five Hundred Years and Moving Forward” in Taylor & Francis Online.

The article examines the faith experiences of Filipino youth in the context of 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines, offering insights into how religious identity, belief, and practice continue to evolve among younger generations.

The publication contributes to ongoing academic discussions on youth, culture, and faith, and highlights the University’s commitment to research that engages both historical reflection and contemporary social realities.
